If you are running late, please text; I will accommodate when possible, but I typically need to end the lesson at the scheduled time.
Make ups or credits are not available for missed group class, lessons missed with short notice, absence at a make-up lesson, or summer lessons. For further discussion on this topic, please refer to this article.
If a conflict with your scheduled lesson arises, please give as much notice as possible. If you are running late, please text; I will accommodate when possible, but I usually need to end the lesson at the scheduled time.
If a mutual time can be arranged, one lesson per year can be rescheduled, but cannot be refunded/credited. My schedule is complex, so advanced notice is the best way to ensure rescheduling is possible. I can sometimes offer flexibility with this policy with ample notice.
Make ups will only be scheduled on regular teaching days (not holidays or non-teaching days). Students are welcome to trade times if they are able to arrange this amongst themselves.
Whereas I prioritize teaching over performances, I will reschedule lessons to the same day/time during flex weeks if an extraordinary opportunity comes up.
I may use up to one paid sick day per weekday per year. For any additional teacher absences, lessons will be rescheduled into flex weeks. If flex weeks remain unused, additional lessons are available at the private lesson rate.
Virtual lessons are limited to 1 - 2 times per year for students who can have a successful lesson online.
In case of a snow day or other severe weather, virtual lessons will be offered as needed unless there are power outages. In case of the latter, a make up or credit will be offered for the lesson.
